Role Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Principal Electrical Engineer, leading projects and disciplines.

As a principal engineer in our building services team, your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading multidisciplinary projects from start to completion.
2. Managing interaction with clients and design team members.
3. Overseeing technical delivery and ensuring projects meet quality, compliance, and performance standards.
4. Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
5. Driving innovation and best practices across the mechanical/electrical discipline.
6. Contributing to recruitment, retention, and development of top engineering talent.
7. Representing Waterman at industry events, building and maintaining relationships with industry colleagues.

Requirements:

• Significant experience in mechanical/electrical building services design across regulated sectors.
• Proven ability to influence engineering outcomes and lead design teams.
• Strong proficiency with MagiCAD, Relux, Amtech/EOM, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Chartered status or working towards it.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering technically excellent, sustainable designs.
