Job summary

Egis is seeking a Principal – EIA & Consents to lead environmental assessments and consenting strategies for major UK infrastructure programmes. Based in London, Manchester or Bristol with hybrid working, you’ll guide EIAs, planning submissions and stakeholder engagement, collaborating with regulators, clients and multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll bring in-depth knowledge of UK EIA regulations, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage scope across energy, water,

Qualifications

• Understanding of EIA Regulations, environmental legislation and planning frameworks.
• Ability to interpret data, identify constraints and contribute to robust assessments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organization to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Collaborative approach within multidisciplinary teams and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead EIAs, environmental planning and consenting workstreams for major infrastructure.
• Coordinate environmental inputs (air quality, noise, biodiversity, water, climate).
• Support DCO, TCPA and sector-specific planning submissions.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce environmental risks.
• Engage with clients, regulators, authorities and communities and manage stakeholder consultations.
