ERM seeks a hands-on Principal EHS Consultant to lead delivery of health, safety and environmental priorities across UK operations within a fast-evolving technology and engineering context.

You will evaluate hazards, lead audits and risk assessments, provide technical advice on construction and occupational hygiene, and translate findings into practical action plans for senior leaders and site teams.

Qualifikationen

• NEBOSH Certificate (required) or Diploma (preferred), or equivalent qualification in Safety, Occupational Health or a related discipline.
• Ten or more years of relevant EHS experience in industry or consultancy, with a proven track record of leading delivery in operational environments.
• Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and ability to translate requirements into practical controls.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands, manage an EHS work programme and deliver with minimal supervision.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills; confident to advise senior EHS and business leaders.
• Experience with EHS software solutions such as Enablon is preferred but not required.
• A full UK driving licence (or ability to travel independently to site locations).

• Lead the delivery of EHS priorities, planning and undertaking site inspections, walkarounds, and assurance activities across client operations.
• Evaluate hazards and risks, define proportionate controls and drive corrective actions through to closure.
• Lead EHS audits and risk assessments, providing robust technical advice across site activities.
• Provide technical advice oversight on construction safety, workplace safety, and occupational hygiene risks.
• Interpret site findings and EHS performance data to identify trends and priorities for intervention.
• Deliver clear, decision-focused reporting to client leadership with practical recommendations and action plans.
• Partner with EHS leadership, operational leaders and site teams to implement sustainable EHS programmes and address compliance gaps.
• Advise on applicable UK health and safety requirements and internal standards.
