Merton Council has made a significant investment in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Integrated Service (SENDIS), and we are recruiting for several positions across the service, including the expansion of the Educational Psychology Service (EPS).
Merton EPS is a well-established and highly regarded team that plays a key role in implementing the Children and Families Act and offers traded services to pre-school settings, schools, and colleges. The EPS provides opportunities for projects and interventions such as CBT, ELSA, MELSA, VIG, and NAS’s EarlyBird Plus and TeenLife. We also support trainee EPs on placement, which we are proud of.
If you are committed to improving the life chances of children and young people and want to join an innovative, dynamic EPS, then Merton may be the place for you.
To be considered for this post, you need a qualification in Educational Psychology (e.g., Doctorate or Masters) that permits Graduate Registration with the British Psychological Society, along with current HCPC Registration. Successful management experience is required to provide strategic direction and operational management for the Educational Psychology Service for children and young people aged 0-25, ensuring its contribution to the work of the Directorate of Children, Schools, and Families.
If you're interested in working with us and wish to discuss this opportunity further, please contact Karla Finikin, Head of SENDIS, or email us.
This post is based at Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey SM4 5DX.
Interviews will be held on 18th July.
