A growing environmental consultancy in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to manage ecological surveys and mentor junior staff. You will play a key role in developing the company's projects and ensuring high-quality delivery. Candidates should hold protected species licences and have prior experience in managing ecological assessments. Qualifications

• Hold protected species licences, ideally a level 2 Bat Licence.
• Have previous experience managing ecological surveys.
• Comfortable training and mentoring junior consultants.
• CIEEM membership is required.

• Win and deliver a range of ecological surveys and assessments.
• Help in training and mentoring junior consultants.
• Lead in managing your own projects.
• Deliver desktop surveys, protected species and habitat surveys.
