This opportunity allows you to work with a UK-wide multidisciplinary firm, supporting the Ecology Team Lead for the Northern Region, across York, Manchester, and Edinburgh offices. The client operates across sectors like renewables, commercial & residential development, and historic sites. The role is suitable for experienced ecologists from consulting or non-consulting backgrounds, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading habitat and species surveys
• Handling reports and assessments such as PEAs, UKHabs, ECIAs, and BNG
• Providing technical advice on ecology and biodiversity
• Mentoring junior staff and managing client/stakeholder relations
• Preparing fee proposals and scopes of work

Requirements include:

• 4-15 years of ecology experience
• Full UK driver’s license
• CIEEM membership
• Experience in project management, fieldwork, and desk studies
• Protected Species Licenses (e.g., Bat & GCN licenses, ornithology, FISC levels 3/4) are highly desirable
• Experience with HRAs, GIS, bat sound analysis is advantageous
