Urban Green in Manchester is seeking a Principal Ecologist to lead ecological projects, provide technical direction and ensure high delivery standards. The role blends client engagement with hands-on field and desk work to support our North West projects.
You will mentor ecologists, contribute to business development, and manage risk, quality and health and safety across a portfolio of projects, including PEA, EcIA and HRA work.

This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes. As Principal Ecologist, you will be responsible for technical leadership, project delivery, and commercial oversight for ecological service, working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure high standards of delivery, compliance and continuous improvement.
