Job summary

Principal Ecologist

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire, South East, UK (Hybrid Working)

Contract: Full time

Salary: £46,500 - £50,000 (plus excellent benefits)

Bennett & Game Recruitment are working with a leading multidisciplinary environmental consultancy seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to join their terrestrial ecology team based in Banbury.

The successful candidate will lead and deliver a varied portfolio of ecological projects, including project planning, field data collection, ecological monitoring, and reporting. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, advise clients on ecological design and mitigation, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead ecological project design and execution.
  • Manage field data collection and analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports and RCPs.
  • Engage with stakeholders and provide expert advice.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Professional qualification (e.g., MSc in Ecology, Conservation Biology).
