Job Description:

We are seeking a Principal Ecologist to work with clients in Hemel and surrounding areas. As a Principal Ecologist at RSK Biocensus, you will be involved in delivering field surveys, assessments, tender and report writing, and project management across various nationwide and local projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead within RSK Biocensus by winning work, providing leadership, technical advice, training, and leading by example. Manage and oversee major projects from start to finish.
  2. Develop client relationships to generate tender opportunities, ensuring successful delivery of previous projects.
  3. Perform all work with care and attention, adhering to RSK procedures, budgets, and timelines.
  4. Provide leadership, direction, and advice with professional integrity and sound judgment within your competence.
  5. Support colleagues in maintaining professional standards and act as a role model.
  6. Enhance your professional knowledge and skills, maintain a CPD record, and keep an up-to-date CV.
  7. Use the PDR process to set objectives that develop your skills in line with team needs and your interests.
Person Specification
  1. First Degree in a relevant discipline or vocational qualification.
  2. Full UK Driving Licence.
  3. Species-specific personal licences are desirable.
  4. Full membership with CIEEM is desirable.
  5. Adherence to CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct.
