Job summary

Assystem is recruiting a Principal Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to lead our most exciting projects across Nuclear, Defence, New Build and Infrastructure in the UK. You will provide top-tier technical leadership, working with high-profile clients and ensuring performance, safety and regulatory compliance.

You will guide EC&I engineering teams, shape project plans and oversee design reviews, with responsibility for mentoring staff and coordinating with clients from concept

Qualifications

10+ years in EC&I design and management.
Expertise in two areas (e.g., Control Systems, Radiometrics, Functional Safety).
Experience in highly regulated industries, control systems, design phases, configuration management and life cycle stages.

Responsibilities

Lead & deliver EC&I engineering teams in delivering innovative solutions for complex projects.
Plan and prioritize health, safety and environmental standards across projects.
Act as Lead Engineer for design reviews, technical discussions and evaluations.
Provide expert advice and support staff and clients through technical challenges.
Mentor team members, set objectives and foster collaboration.
Ensure projects stay on budget and on schedule with Project Managers.
Serve as primary technical contact, coordinating with clients throughout each project.
