Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to treat the software release lifecycle as a first-class product.

In this role, you will architect a resilient, high-velocity delivery ecosystem across SDKs, Terraform providers, installable software, and Cloud services to ensure a seamless, scalable deployment pipeline. You will design, build and maintain pipelines, keep the test infrastructure healthy, improve developer experience, monitor and triage issues, and drive continuous

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with DevOps tooling and automation including Terraform, Jenkins, AWS, GitOps.
• Some programming/scripting experience.
• Motivated by providing a great developer experience.
• Track record of highly collaborative work.
• Strong debugging skills in complex environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and creating dashboards.
• Preferably experience with supply chain security practices like vulnerability scanning and code signing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain pipelines for testing and shipping our software with multi-step processes and security checks.
• Maintain test infrastructure with devops tooling, multiple platform versions, cloud accounts, and third-party dependencies.
• Collaborate with developers to build a great developer experience with ad-hoc environments and debuggable pipelines.
• Monitor pipelines and triage issues, guiding fix actions with the team.
• Provide product feedback to improve usability and testability.
• Continuously optimize pipelines for speed without compromising security and reliability.
