Overview

North Northamptonshire Council are looking for a Principal Development Control Officer (Waste and Minerals).

Inside IR35. Remote (but working from offices in Northampton and Thrapston when necessary).

Responsibilities

• Determine applications for minerals and waste development for North Northamptonshire, West Northamptonshire and Rutland Councils (the latter two authorities NNC provides a service to under contract).
• Visit sites as appropriate, give pre-application advice and attend the respective planning committees of the three authorities as necessary when an application goes before them.
• Monitor existing permitted/operational minerals and waste sites in the three authorities and any authorised development notified to us.
• In the case of the latter, initiate enforcement action if required.

Qualifications/Experience

As previously stated experience in minerals and waste development management of significance will be required.
