OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Designer to lead health and safety coordination during the pre-construction phase. You will manage CDM documentation and work with clients, designers and contractors to identify and mitigate design risks.

You will coordinate information, maintain risk registers, and ensure robust document control across multiple projects. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Formación

• Experience delivering Principal Designer duties or CDM co-ordination.
• Solid understanding of CDM 2015 responsibilities for clients, designers and contractors.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project docs.
• Experience preparing pre-construction information, design risk registers and health & safety files.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, manage and coordinate health and safety during pre-construction.
• Support clients in understanding CDM responsibilities.
• Identify, collate and review pre-construction information and gaps.
• Coordinate design risk reviews with designers to mitigate risks.
• Maintain design risk registers and communicate residual risks.
• Prepare, review and manage CDM documentation and health & safety files.
• Coordinate preparation and updating of health and safety files.
• Liaise with Principal Contractors to share information for construction phase.
• Review construction phase plans and provide comments within scope.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings and record actions.
• Monitor design changes and communicate risk information.
• Attend project meetings and site visits as required.
• Maintain document control and audit trails.
• Escalate significant risks or missing information to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of CDM processes and templates.
