Job Title: Principal Designer – Mechanical
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This is an on-site position
Salary: £40,748 Depending on skills and experience

The Submarines team: Working in the Mechanical Designer discipline, the Principal Designer role consists of 3D modelling (design and integration) of various mechanical routing systems in the submarine design using CAD. 3D models are to be matured as required to then produce a 2D drawing output. The role also includes construction of a bill of materials for your specific area in the Submarine design.
As a Principal designer you will report into a Project Leader and you will be working in a team of other Designers at various levels of experience who will support you in your development. We also offer two different programmes with various Hybrid working options.
