Job description

Quantity Surveyor / Employer’s Agent – Hotels (New Builds & Extensions)
Location: Birmingham (with nationwide travel)
Salary: Competitive DOE + Car Allowance + Benefits

A fantastic opportunity has opened up for an ambitious and client-focused Quantity Surveyor / Employer’s Agent to join a growing team delivering high-profile hotel and leisure sector projects across the UK.

This role is ideal for a QS with at least 3 years' experience, ideally in hospitality or leisure, who is either chartered (MRICS) or actively working towards APC completion.

The Role:

You’ll be part of a team delivering new build and refurbishment hotel projects from inception to completion. Acting as Employer’s Agent, you’ll be responsible for cost management, contract administration, site monitoring, and FF&E coordination, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Full QS/EA service delivery on hotel new builds and extensions

*

Managing multiple projects simultaneously from pre-contract through to final account

*

Producing cost plans, estimates, valuations, and cash flow forecasts

*

Liaising with clients, design teams, and contractors

*

Monitoring progress on site, attending meetings, and managing variations

*

Coordinating FF&E procurement and placement

*

Negotiating and settling final accounts

*

Ensuring smooth handovers and compliance with client requirements

Requirements:

*

Minimum 3 years' experience in quantity surveying or EA roles (hotel or leisure sector preferred)

*

Strong project delivery skills and commercial awareness

*

Either chartered (MRICS) or working towards APC completion

*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*

Confident working independently and in a team

*

Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage time and priorities effectively

*

Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

*

Willingness to travel nationally for site visits and meetings
