Job summary

Aristocrat is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead high-impact data science initiatives across gameplay and business outcomes. You will build ML/RL solutions, define metrics, and partner with game teams to translate insights into actions.

You will drive scalable experiments, ensure robust model governance, and provide technical leadership across Data Science, MLOps, and Game Tech. Ideal for someone with 5+ years of DS leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in a quantitative field or equivalent hands-on practice.
• 5+ years of professional data science experience with delivery of ML products.
• Experience with clustering, predictive modelling, reinforcement learning and Bayesian statistics.
• Hands-on software engineering and MLOps knowledge for production ML.
• Experience deploying ML models at scale and collaborating with game teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data science initiatives, from framing to impact measurement.
• Build and deliver ML and RL solutions to boost engagement, retention and monetization.
• Define modeling framework with evaluation, monitoring, and bias checks.
• Partner with game teams to define success metrics and decision frameworks.
• Drive scalable experimentation including A/B tests and bandits.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and MLOps to ensure reliable data foundations and deployment paths.
• Provide technical leadership through reviews, mentoring and coaching.
