HSBC Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead engineering across Cybersecurity Science & Analytics (CSA). You will be the most senior hands‑on engineer in CSA, directing data platform, infrastructure and analytics delivery that powers cybersecurity outcomes across a large global bank.

You will build security applications, shape end‑to‑end SDLC, enforce secure-by-design standards and mentor engineers. This role spans multiple domains to deliver scalable, cloud‑native ML/analytics pipelines

Formación

• Senior hands-on engineer (principal/staff level)
• Experience building scalable cloud-based security applications
• Strong background in data analytics and ML/AI enablement

Responsabilidades

• Set engineering direction across CSA and drive cross-domain alignment
• Lead end-to-end SDLC including requirements, development, testing, release and production support
• Establish and enforce engineering standards for code quality, reliability and security-by-design
• Mentor and upskill engineers, raising the bar for engineering excellence
• Collaborate with threat hunters, vulnerability teams and other domains to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Architect and review designs, drive reusable patterns and global consistency across units
