The Opportunity
You will join Arup as a Principal Consultant within our technical safety, risk, and reliability engineering team, focusing on sustainable development, low carbon initiatives, and energy transition projects across sectors. Your role will involve promoting our services, developing the team of Technical Safety, Risk, and Reliability consultants, and managing projects from advisory to engineering solutions during various project phases.
Your client-facing role will emphasize low carbon and energy transition (e.g., hydrogen). You will build and foster strong client relationships through excellent project delivery and business development, guiding project teams to find innovative solutions. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams—including other energy consultants and project managers—is essential to address our clients' unique challenges.
Applicants should possess high technical expertise in safety and risk management, analytical evaluation skills, creativity in problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities. A collaborative, flexible, and adaptable approach is vital, along with the capacity to mentor junior staff and transfer skills across markets.
