As part of the growth of the Arcadis Digital Advisory team, there is a need for a Principal Consultant to lead on the delivery of digital client projects/commissions and support the development of the Digital Asset Advisory team. Digital Asset Advisory sits within Digital Advisory.
This role is a delivery and client-facing role with responsibility for managing the delivery of projects and workstreams, supporting the growth of the Digital Advisory capability, and supporting the pursuit of Digital Asset Advisory opportunities within the FM space.
- Generates high margin and consulting sales by identifying, selling, and delivering propositions which include sector core services.
- Service leads exceptional client outcomes across multiple, complex capability areas and commissions.
- Highlights Arcadis thought leadership to the business and clients.
- Champions diversity and inclusion, well-being, and embeds within Business Advisory.
- Makes a positive difference in the world and improves quality of life.
- Pro-actively supports community/non-project initiatives that positively impact Business Advisory's ability to retain and attract top talent.
- Financial accountability: timely completion of timesheets and sales pipeline updates.
- Sales target: directly delivers a specified amount of fees generated from opportunities, bid support, etc.
- Project accountability: lead and deliver workstreams and/or small to medium-sized projects (up to 4-6 people). Achieves project objectives and sets stretch objectives for individuals via project appraisals.
- Promotes Arcadis values and behaviors and upholds professionalism and integrity.
- Line management responsibilities: manage up to 3-4 people.
Qualifications & Experience:
Consulting
- Experience managing diverse stakeholder groups and fostering effective relationships, including with executives, clients, team members, and external partners.
- Knowledge of change management approaches, methodologies, and tools.
- Ability to convey information clearly and persuasively in verbal and written communications.
- Experience managing projects or workstreams with teams of 4-6 people, ensuring quality outcomes.
- Ability to quickly identify client challenges and provide strategic advice for improvements and change.
Commercial and Sales
- Experience in developing and converting sales opportunities for business growth.
- Proven success in delivering projects that meet financial targets.
- Experience supporting business development through proposals, bids, and expanding existing commissions.
People
- Experience fostering a collaborative team environment, prioritizing well-being, and building respectful relationships.
- Experience supporting personal growth, career development, and performance management through mentoring or coaching.
Technical (Digital FM Advisory)
- Experience in relevant industry sectors such as buildings, government, defense, etc.
- Knowledge of data standards for Facilities Management (ISO, FMS, etc.)
- Understanding of enterprise asset management, CAFM, and CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
- Knowledge of asset and facilities management principles and practices.
- Ability to develop system architectures and establish governance and standards.
- Experience in technology implementations and digital transformation programs.
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering and process mapping.
- Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP or BSC) is a plus.
