Job description

This role is a Consultancy position at Principal Consultant grade which sits within the Delivery business area of Capita Procurement Solutions.

Capita Procurement Solutions is a London based niche management consultancy firm - we are a collection of procurement specialists and experts, listening closely to the specific needs of our diverse range of clients. We use our extensive procurement industry experience to analyse and present tailored and innovative solutions to our clients, to help transform their procurement functions and respond to complex procurement challenges.

This is a hybrid role, with some client travel, which may include overnight stays.

Job Description:

What you'll be doing:
  • Working across public or private sector and a range of markets
  • Working across multiple categories of spend or requiring specific subject matter expertise
  • Leading on consultancy deliverables as part of a team or delivering independently
  • Being a member of a Category Team and actively working on internal business development in areas such as product development, best practice and innovation, market shaping, knowledge sharing, and sales opportunities
What we're looking for:
  • Wide breadth of Procurement expertise including Category management & strategy development, strategic sourcing and savings delivery, working with public contract regulations and opportunity analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing large or complex programmes that encompass change and transformation
  • Innovative individual
  • Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills with the ability to support and positively challenge clients and deliver negotiations.
  • A clear, concise communicator with strong presentation skills and ability to positively influence.
  • People management experience and skills including providing guidance and support to project teams and individuals, would be an advantage
  • MCIPS qualified or other relevant business qualification, would be an advantage
