Position Overview:

Seeking a Principal Communication Systems Engineer passionate about developing phased array antennas and radios for aerospace systems, in a startup-like environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure interface compatibility.
• Support proposal reviews and lead trade studies to optimize system architecture.
• Develop space system requirements and interfaces.
• Lead the development of space architecture concepts, subsystem design, payload design, and risk reduction.
• Conduct analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, and quality factors.
• Develop system engineering processes for requirements management and traceability.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering.
• 9+ years experience in space communications.
• Strong knowledge of communication theory and RF concepts.
• Experience with FPGA, vector processing engines, and satellite standards.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Excellent technical communication skills.
• Ability to manage large projects and work under pressure.
• Strong team collaboration skills.
