The project:

Provision of project management, commercial management, and programme management resources and services required by a defence infrastructure organisation.

You’ll be responsible for:

1. Commercially focused QS.
2. Familiar with Think Project (CEMAR).
3. Understanding Public Procurement Regulations.
4. Supporting programme development in the production of early budgetary estimates.
5. Developing effective business relationships with portfolio team members in supporting the attainment of team objectives.
6. Developing effective business relationships with stakeholders in ensuring adoption of functional quantity surveying best practices in the delivery of portfolios.
7. Providing functional quantity surveying expertise and support to the wider programme delivery businesses.
8. Undertaking reviews of contract adherence across programme delivery.
9. Supporting the commercial function in the evaluation of, and negotiation of tenders, contract changes, and compensation events.
10. Providing support for the development of preliminary, initial, and main gate business case submissions.
11. Providing senior management with appropriate reports to support decision-making.
12. Acting as contract-specific quantity surveying functional expert in all aspects of price validation and agreement, including dispute resolution.

You’ll need to have:

1. RICS membership or equivalent of substantial years’ experience of using NEC form of contract.
2. NEC 4 Accredited.
3. Degree Level - ideally with a Masters.
4. Ability to obtain SC Clearance.
5. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and lead strong, motivated teams.
6. Construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
