Job summary

WPP Enterprise Solutions is seeking a permanent Principal Technical Architect in Manchester to lead cloud architectures and agentic AI initiatives for global brands. You will steer technical governance, champion best practices in serverless AWS deployments, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify growth opportunities.

You will mentor engineers, drive code-quality through reviews, and shape scalable API patterns while balancing strategy with hands-on delivery in a dynamic,

Qualifications

Senior/Principal architect with leadership experience in digital agencies or consultancies.
Hands-on design and delivery of resilient AWS-based enterprise apps (serverless).
Experience with agentic AI platforms and associated standards (ACP, AP2, A2A).
Strong API design, documentation, and versioning.
Experience with IaC, CI/CD, and automated testing to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

Act as the account's senior authority on cloud architectures (AWS serverless).
Design AWS-based agentic AI platforms with orchestration, memory, guardrails.
Engage with clients, lead workshops, identify growth opportunities.
Own hands-on engineering by reviewing code and shaping integration patterns.
Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.
