Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Psychologist at Band 8b to join an Intensive and Assertive Team supporting service users with psychosis and complex needs in West Norfolk. The role requires extensive specialist assessment, multidisciplinary collaboration and leadership in service development.

The post emphasises high-risk, diverse caseloads, health equity, and engagement with families and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology and eligibility for chartered status with BPS.
• Post-qualification training in additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
• Registered with HCPC as a practitioner psychologist.
• Evidence of CPD in specialised areas of psychological practice.

Responsibilities

• Specialist complex psychological assessment and formulation of the most complex cases (including neuropsychological assessment).
• Multidisciplinary and multiagency consultation.
• Support for other members of the MDT including supervision, consultation, reflective practice and post-event reflections.
• Contribution to development of the team’s working model and system pathways in line with NICE guidance and strategy.
• Leading service improvement, quality improvement and service evaluation projects.
• Engage with family, carers and other stakeholders to promote wellbeing and safety of service users.
