Job Title: Principal Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical/Forensic)

We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and motivated Principal Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical/Forensic) to join our friendly and professional multidisciplinary team at the Cavell Centre, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Our recent investment in the Psychology pathway for inpatient services aims to develop and deliver more psychologically informed services, increasing access to psychological assessment, intervention, and therapy in line with national guidance.

Team and Role Overview

You will be part of a psychology team led by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, working within our adult mental health inpatient pathway. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to service development and evaluation, making a difference to patients, carers, and colleagues. You will work across two wards (Treatment and Rehabilitation), supported by an Assistant Psychologist and a trainee Clinical Psychologist, with specific responsibilities in each setting.

Responsibilities and Opportunities

1. Showcase your therapy, assessment, and formulation skills using modalities such as CBT, DBT, CFT, ACT, and EMDR.
2. Contribute to developing the patient pathway across the adult inpatient service.
3. Participate in service development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
4. Receive professional leadership support and line management within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
5. Access training and supervision to develop your therapy skills further.
