We’re looking for a Principal Consultant, Client Director in Government & Public Sector to lead and grow client accounts, lead impactful transformation programs, and spearhead growth in this sector.

How will you make change happen

We are hiring a Principal-level Management Consultant (Client Director) to lead and grow our Government & Public Sector business. Working closely with the Portfolio leader, this is a unique opportunity to develop and execute strategy, grow the G&PS business unit, and develop your leadership in one of the UK’s most unique Management Consultancies.

Exciting work you will do:

  1. Focus on business development, account leadership, and solution delivery in the Government & Public Sector, developing solutions that ensure long-term success for clients.
  2. Use your perspectives, personality, and creativity to think big about client challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  3. Impact North Highland’s bottom line by building relationships that drive results and fuel growth.
  4. Identify and sell value-added solutions through North Highland’s holistic consulting approach, becoming an expert in our Practices: Strategy, Technology, People & Change, Experience Design, Process & Business Analysis, Data & Analytics, and Project Management.
  5. Lead teams of North Highland Consultants on projects and as a career coach.
  6. Establish yourself as a thought leader in Government & Public Sector through networking, speaking, writing, and community involvement.
  7. Work with clients mainly in London, with some travel required.
  8. Participate in training programs for personal and professional growth.
  9. Contribute to the community through local projects.

What you will need:

  1. Leadership experience in management consulting, advisory, or professional services, with previous Government & Public Sector consulting experience required.
  2. Ability to build credibility, consensus, and collaboration with clients and teams.
  3. Creative problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Self-awareness regarding strengths and development areas.
  6. Willingness to share knowledge and mentor others.
  7. Experience in business expansion within existing accounts and developing new opportunities.
  8. Proposal development and sales experience.
  9. Experience leading large, complex consulting engagements and building relationships with senior executives.
  10. Proven track record of delivering business requirements and driving client growth.
  11. Bachelor’s degree; master’s or professional certifications are a plus.
