Job summary

Manpower UK in Plymouth (Hybrid) is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role bridges design and construction for infills, demolition and trials-support, ensuring safe, compliant as-built outcomes.

You will work within a delivery-focused team on naval dock and berth infrastructure improvements at Devonport. The ideal candidate has experience with heavy civil design, seismic considerations for Nuclear Safety Functions, and major infrastructure delivery on

Qualifications

• Knowledge of design and substantiation of heavy civil engineering and building structures to seismic codes for Nuclear Safety Functions.
• Experience of construction techniques for Nuclear Safety related structures and buildings.
• Experience of major infrastructure delivery at a Nuclear Licenced Site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site queries and engineering clarifications
• Review inspection reports and raise actions, including NCRs where needed
• Manage TQs/CRs, and review ITPs/ITCs for compliance
• Review RAMS, Temporary Works, and relevant approvals
• Support material approvals (MARS) and limited surveillance aligned to ITP/ITCs
• Capture Learning from Experience for designers

The purpose
