Job Description:

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate design outputs across all technical disciplines.
• Deliver design stage outputs within the agreed timescale and budget.
• Ensure adequate Technical, Safety, and Environmental reviews are conducted for each project.
• Oversee the production of cost-effective design documents that meet specifications.
• Utilize company/Client standard designs and practices whenever possible.
• Record, monitor, and control design changes to maximize cost efficiency.
• Raise and resolve technical queries.
• Establish working relationships with Client and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and efficiency.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all staff.
• Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach, providing open and honest feedback.
• Ensure appropriate confidentiality at all times.

You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and knowledge:

• Professional Qualification (CEng or C.WEM).
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Water & Environmental Management, or a related subject.
• Motivated to work on flood and coastal risk management and water projects; experience in at least one of these fields is required.
• Experience working on projects at appraisal, outline design, detailed design, and construction stages.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Experience in flood and coastal risk management and water projects.
• Experience producing flood risk assessments.
• Experience undertaking structural inspections for bridges, floodwalls, and gauging weirs.
