Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Highways Design Engineer to join our client's team in Cheshire. In this key role, you will oversee and manage the design process for various projects, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality designs that meet budgetary and client requirements.

The role:

  • Ensure designs are delivered within the programme and budget;
  • Manage resource allocations to ensure team members are fully utilized on priority tasks;
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability;
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, stakeholders, and project partners;
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Ensure designs comply with MCHW, DMRB, and local design guidance, incorporating all relevant authorities' requirements;
  • Review and authorize design information and reports, providing constructive feedback;
