Job summary

Qualifications

• Chartered engineer with ICE or IStructE membership.
• MEng degree level or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 6+ years' civil engineering experience in a consultancy on buildings-related projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS and Civil CAD3D is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of major civil/structural projects in the UK and internationally.
• Lead a team of technicians and engineers and coordinate with disciplines to ensure delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior staff to support their progression.

Principal Civil Engineer 45-50,000 Manchester

We are currently assisting one of our key clients to secure a Principal Civil Infrastructure Engineer for their expanding team in the heart of Manchester.

Our client are a leading, award winning multidisciplinary consultancy with an exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable civil engineering and infrastructure solutions. They have a strong international presence, operating from offices across the globe to deliver high profile and iconic design across a range of sectors.

The Role

• This is an outstanding opportunity for a client focused Civil Engineer to take a leading role in the design and delivery of some of the most exciting and technically excellent projects in the UK and internationally.
• Leading a team of technicians and engineers you will liaise closely with other disciplines to ensure delivery of your projects and also have the opportunity to develop new and maintain existing client relationships.
• You will be keen to assist the more junior members of staff, sharing your wealth of experience to assist with their development.

The Requirements

• You must be a chartered engineer, with the ICE or IStructE.
• You will be educated to MEng degree level or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• You will have at least 6+ years' civil engineering experience in a consultancy environment working primarily on buildings related projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS and Civil CAD3D is beneficial.
