Job Description:

We are currently working with a major consultancy to add a Principal Civil Engineer to their division in the City of London.

Due to growth, this consultancy's C&S team needs a Principal Engineer to lead large C&S project teams or multiple smaller teams, helping to develop the infrastructure capability of their Civil and Structural department.

You will ensure project teams deliver civil and structural designs meeting cost, schedule, and quality criteria, and have appropriate skills and resources.

You will focus on ensuring compliance with business quality & management systems and contribute your innovative input to implementing change as directed by leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day activities of C&S project teams
• Ensuring team compliance with management systems
• Contributing to the development of department capabilities
• Leading design delivery across projects with support from senior staff
• Developing programmes and managing change
• Preparing tenders and fee estimates
• Conducting technical reviews of ongoing projects
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Supporting team performance
