Job description

RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Principal Civil/Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Exeter, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.

RSK LDE Ltd was established in 2003, bringing together specialist design engineers to strengthen RSK's in-house capabilities. The team comprises experienced civil and structural engineering professionals with extensive expertise in the assessment, design, and construction of major development projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and within budget.
  • Define engineering strategies and ensure adherence to them.
  • Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278, etc.).
  • Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
  • Maintain effective communication with the design team and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Knowledge of:
    • Highway design and ground modelling.
    • Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
    • External works levels design, including Part M.
    • Industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Software experience:
    • AutoCAD,
    • PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar),
    • Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar),
    • Microsoft Office suite.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar sector within consultancy.
  • Degree or HNC level education.
