Principal Cardiac Physiologist (Non-Invasive Services) Band 8b
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individual to join our team at Manchester Foundation Trust, leading services at the Manchester Royal Infirmary site.
The applicant must have experience working as an expert independent clinical practitioner providing clinical expertise at a specialist level.
The role is pivotal in developing and delivering Non-Invasive Diagnostic Services within Manchester Heart Centre at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Candidates will assist the Cardiac Diagnostic Specialty Lead Consultant in strategic management and leadership alongside the Principal Cardiac Physiologist for Invasive Services.
Applicants must work well under pressure, prioritize workload, and lead a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality diagnostic services.
Manage operations and staff within the Manchester Heart Centre and support future service development.
Practise independently as an Expect Cardiac Physiologist in at least one advanced tertiary cardiology field.
Ensure cardiac and associated medical research are integrated into the clinical physiologist role.
Act as a professional ambassador, facilitating training and development of multidisciplinary healthcare staff.
Deputise for the Consultant Cardiac Physiologist in their absence regarding managerial responsibilities and service representation.
