Job summary

Design Services Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Principal C&I Engineer for an Outside IR35 contracting role based in Manchester with hybrid working and a negotiable hourly rate. The candidate must have the right to work in the UK.

The role requires extensive engineering design experience across the full lifecycle, knowledge of CE marking (ATEX, PED, LVD, Machinery Directive, EMC) and competence in Safety Instrumented Systems per IEC 61511/61508; you will act as single point of contact for project

Qualifications

• Experience across the full engineering life cycle (tendering to close-out) is required.
• Competence in Safety Instrumented Systems per IEC 61511/61508.
• Knowledge of CE marking requirements including ATEX, PED, LVD, Machinery directive and EMC compliance.

Principal C&I Engineer

Our client is currently looking for a Principal C&I Engineer to be based out of there Manchester offices, the role will be offering an Outside IR35 contracting position with a negotiable hourly rate, the client will be offering candidates the chance for hybrid working. Candidates must have the right to work within the UK already established.

The client will be looking for candidates that have experience with extensive engineering design experience across the full engineering life cycle, from tendering to close out of projects as well as having experience in the requirement’s for CE marking of plant and equipment, including ATEX, PED, Low voltage directive, Machinery directive and EMC compliance.

During this role you will be acting as a single point of contact for the project discipline team, hold budget and resource responsibility and maintaining the line management duties while executing hands on design production checking and approval.

Candidates must have competence in the specification and design of Safety instrumented systems in line with IEC 61511 and IEC 61508.
