Are you passionate about working in the AWS Energy & Utilities industry unit, focusing on digitization and business transformation for Power & Utility customers? Do you want to be part of a team driving the energy transition and expanding cloud computing in the IT/OT continuum for essential services like electricity, water, and natural gas? We seek a Business Development leader with industry experience, technical expertise, and business development skills to grow AWS's leadership in this sector.

The industry is undergoing unprecedented transformation with changing business models, climate resilience initiatives, cybersecurity threats, and modernization efforts. Your role involves engaging with customers and partners, attending industry events, and enabling AWS sales teams to create new business opportunities. You will collaborate with solutions architects and partner teams to develop cloud solutions and support AWS offerings for rapid adoption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic market development plan aligned with AWS Power & Utilities industry goals.
  • Partner with sales, professional services, GSI, ISV, security, and policy teams.
  • Create sales plays targeting business line stakeholders and drive engagement.
  • Assist customers in building outcome-driven strategies using AWS mechanisms.
  • Coordinate regional enablement and engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in industry and customer events, and support internal strategies.
  • Understand customer technical requirements and guide service development.
  • Present business reviews to senior management and drive industry expertise.
