A bit about the job:

As a Principal Business Analyst, you will be driving and aligning change activity to business outcomes in strategic, complex environments. You’ll take ownership of creating teams, setting the approach, and have accountability for the delivery of quality business analysis activities. You will help drive the transformation of our digital capabilities, leading innovation, streamlining journeys, and finding creative solutions to deliver value to customers.

You will be a leader in the Business Analysis community inside Aviva and active externally in the BA profession, using this to deliver great outcomes for all business analysts as part of the BA practice. You will use your expertise to evolve and improve analysis practices in delivery. You will serve as a role model for Business Analysts, helping to further their careers, build skills, and develop key analysis capabilities for the future.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Leadership & Influence: Experience in leading and shaping large, complex programmes, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and facilitation skills. Ability to spot trends, themes, and make connections to facilitate strategic alignment.
  • Analysis Methodology Expertise: Strong experience in adapting and flexing the analysis approach to fit the business outcome. Owning the definition and implementation of Agile ways of working in deliveries.
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to sell a vision.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate across change/technology disciplines, organisational boundaries, and with third parties and suppliers.

  • Salary: circa £85,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
