Job description

Principal Building Control Surveyor

We are seeking a Principal Building Control Surveyor for a local authority in Northamptonshire. The initial contract duration is 3 months, with a high likelihood of extension.

Responsibilities

1. Provide an effective Building Control service by regulating and enforcing the Building Regulations 2010, the Building Act 1984, and related legislation to ensure health, safety, and convenience in and around buildings.
2. Deliver a professional, customer-focused LABC service that meets client needs, enhances customer satisfaction, and explores opportunities to grow market share and income.
3. Promote sustainable construction and energy efficiency across Northamptonshire through supportive regulation and public awareness initiatives.
4. Assist the Building Control Manager in adapting to new legislation impacting service delivery.
5. Support transformational change and innovation within your area of responsibility.

Additional Details

• 37 hours per week
• Inside IR35
• Hybrid working arrangement
• £80 per hour (umbrella)
