Overview

Principal BMS / Controls Engineer - City of London - £70 - 80k + Bonus + Package. I am currently working in partnership with an International MEP Consultancy who are looking to appoint a Principal BMS / Controls Engineer into their expanding London City office. Having opened their first office 15 years ago they now have offices located throughout the UK, Mainland Europe, UAE and Asia whilst employing 300 engineers. The plan for them is to continue their growth in these current offices whilst opening several other offices throughout America and Australia. Project wise the London office is involved in a lot of Data Centre and Commercial projects throughout the UK and Europe. On top of this they also work on projects within the High Rise, Leisure, Healthcare, Aviation and Retail sectors across the globe.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong relationship with Clients and Fellow Professionals.
  • Attend and contribute to Technical/Committee Meetings within organisation.
  • Contribute to the development of the BMS/Controls Group.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the BMS Standard Specification.
  • Attend BMS/Controls Tender Interviews with prospective BMS Tenderers.
  • Review and comment on BMS Contractors Technical Submittals.
  • Attend Off-Site Panel Inspections and BMS Software Verification Testing.
  • Attend On-Site Witness-Testing of Commissioned BMS Systems and Controls.
  • Work with other BMS/Controls Engineers to identify and develop solutions for new Projects.
  • Work with the Project Co-ordinator to deliver individual Projects.
  • Provide Technical and Non-Technical Support to less experienced Engineers within the Group.
  • Assist Project Director in ensuring all Additional Work is identified and additional fees claimed where appropriate.
  • Able to take Concepts and Ideas through to implementation.
  • Provide structured Technical Guidance on Projects for Staff in theTeam.
