At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Principal BIM and Digital Engineer at our Devonport site.

The role

As a Principal BIM and Digital Engineer, you will support Major Infrastructure Projects (MIP) in information management, BIM, and digital delivery.

You will be accountable to the Principal BIM and Digital Engineer Lead and support the BIM lead.

• Contribute to the strategy and implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Safety related facilities within MIP.
• Provide BIM support within the engineering team.
• Lead projects and ensure consistent BIM delivery across MIP and DRDL.

This is a full-time role, 36 hours per week, with regular travel to Devonport, Plymouth, and home working arrangements. Flexible working options may be available.

Essential experience

• Design and Construction background (civil, structural, architectural, MEP, or similar).
• Knowledge of ISO standards.
• Design and construction experience.
• Relevant BIM knowledge throughout the design and construction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC, degree, or diploma.
• Professional chartership with a recognized industry institute.

Security Clearance

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance. Eligibility may be affected by nationality, citizenship, or residency.
