Principal Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C# .Net Core Azure) Reigate / WFH to £95k

As a Principal Backend Software Engineer, you will take a lead role in the team responsible for their flagship SaaS insurance platform that handles 4 billion requests per month. Your work will be challenging and complex, focusing on delivering the evolution of backend services that support large-scale calculation systems. You will remain hands-on while helping to set standards and providing technical project leadership within an Agile development environment that encourages close collaboration.

Location / WFH:

There is a flexible hybrid work model, with colleagues in Reigate office twice a week for team meet-ups and stakeholder meetings.

About you:

• You have expertise in C# .Net Core backend development, with experience developing highly available, scalable systems.
• You possess deep knowledge of Azure cloud services.
• You have a strong understanding of SaaS and cloud deployment.
• You are familiar with IaC tools; Pulumi experience is preferred, but Terraform experience is acceptable.
• You have experience with Kubernetes and Docker at scale and a good understanding of modern microservices architecture.
• You have led technical projects and promote best practices.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
