Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced semiconductor Principal Automotive NPI Product Engineer with a proven track record of bringing automotive products from definition through to production, including quality, functional safety, and qualification documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee product quality and compliance throughout its lifecycle, from definition to production release.
• Contribute to automotive product and functional safety processes and documentation.
• Collaborate on safety assessments like ASIL, fault tree analysis, PPAP, DFMEA, TFMEA, FMEDA.
• Understand how fabrication process issues affect reliability and performance parameters.
• Manage manufacturability activities such as DFT, yield, test coverage, limit setting, and test releases.
• Decide on development or sourcing of technologies like fab processes and packaging.
• Coordinate with test engineering for product and test solution development.
• Track performance against specifications throughout the product lifecycle.
• Plan and execute production ramp-up and handover to support teams.
• Address failure analysis and corrective actions for field returns.
• Review and optimize test coverage and guard-banding.
• Conduct capability, margin, and yield analyses on new products.
• Manage manufacturing documentation for production transfer and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BSc in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 10+ years experience as a semiconductor product engineer, preferably in automotive mixed-signal products.
• Knowledge of quality standards like JEDEC, ISO-26262, AEC-Q100, and statistical analysis techniques.
• Understanding of wafer fabrication processes, controls, and monitors.
• Experience with ATE systems such as Advantest 93k for wafer probe and packaged products.
