Salary: £42,708 - £46,731 (depending on experience)
Hours: 36.25 hours per week

Your role:
This is a unique opportunity to join an established internal audit team at GMCA. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Internal Auditor who is passionate about developing and delivering a high quality, innovative and value adding internal audit service.
You will be responsible for the delivery of a significant section of our diverse Police and Crime internal audit plan. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and working with other Internal Audit team members, you will be joining a highly regarded Internal Audit team with an excellent reputation and forward thinking approach to delivering audit assurance in the public sector.
Your key stakeholders will be within both Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office (PCC). You will deliver a wide variety of strategic, operational and advisory audit services.
About you:
Ideally you are a qualified internal auditor (IIA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent qualification); blue-light experience would be beneficial but is not essential. We are looking for an auditor who has proven experience and is highly motivated to deliver a first-class audit service. With good analytical skills and a proven ability to plan and deliver a variety of strategic and operational risk-based reviews working autonomously or as part of a team.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are capable of relationship building with a wide variety of senior stakeholders. You are agile and can apply your skills to new areas and topics and have strong technical knowledge.
