Job Description:

We have a brand-new opportunity for an Associate or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our MEP division based in our Manchester office.

It's an exciting time to join our MEP team! We have a proven track record working within the North of England, with offices in Leeds, Manchester and more recently Scotland. Working collaboratively with our North division, you will be joining a fun, highly engaged team who love what they do. Our team has a wealth of experience and will offer support, development opportunities, and expert advice.

Your role will include:

  1. Being a proactive member of the MEP leadership team, overseeing the day-to-day running of the electrical disciplines, and managing multidisciplinary projects across various building sectors.
  2. Maintaining and developing external relationships with clients, and taking responsibility for the commercial performance of projects, including negotiating additional fees and facilitating new and ongoing work.
  3. Acting as a role model within the MEP team, ensuring projects are delivered with a 'right-first-time' approach, with appropriate quality management procedures in place and adhered to.

Our Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) division:

Our MEP team are specialists in energy, sustainability, and engineering design. We bring buildings to life and create award-winning, high-performance environments that enhance the built environment, working across sectors including commercial, industrial, leisure, retail, manufacturing, logistics, heritage, and residential.

Our services include:

  • Building performance optimisation
  • Carbon verification and validation strategies
  • Daylight and sunlight studies
  • Sustainability benchmarking and environmental assessments
  • Strategic utility management services

We offer a fresh approach to MEP, engaging early in the design process, collaborating with the design team, highlighting options, guiding development, and helping clients make key decisions.

Most importantly, you’ll find us a lively, good-spirited team, passionate about what we do and enjoying each other's company – we’ll be sure to give you a warm welcome too! Check out our MEP project portfolio here.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Relevant qualification at HNC, HND, Bachelors, or Masters, and chartered status.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Associate with a strong track record in UK-based mainstream building services projects.
  • Experienced team manager, including recruitment, wellbeing, performance, management, and development.
  • Ability to win work and handle business operations such as marketing, commercial, and financial responsibilities.
  • Sound knowledge of BIM processes, Revit, and IES/Amtech.

Please note we are actively looking to grow our team in Manchester and welcome applications from candidates at all levels. If you don’t quite meet the criteria listed above, please get in touch as we may have opportunities that suit your skillset!
