This expert team delivers comprehensive mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors, including Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Defence. With a long-established presence in Northern Ireland, Tetra Tech has a proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact projects throughout the region.

Your new role
As a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer, you will lead and deliver multiple medium to large-scale projects, covering all aspects of electrical design within a consultancy environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing electrical services from concept through to completion across various sectors
  • Producing detailed design calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings
  • Conducting site surveys and construction stage duties
  • Liaising with clients and multidisciplinary design/construction teams
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate engineers
  • Supporting directors with resource planning and team management
  • Contributing to estimates and bid submissions

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
  • Proven experience managing building services projects from concept to handover
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and project cost control experience
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop a team
  • Knowledge of sustainable design and renewable technologies
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Relux, Dialux, Amtech, NBS, and Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence
