Job summary

Whitbread is seeking a visionary Principal Architect - Infrastructure, Cloud & AI to define and lead the architecture strategy across cloud, infrastructure and AI-enabled technology services. This is a high-impact leadership role shaping enterprise-wide technology decisions, roadmaps, and governance to ensure secure, resilient and scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Infrastructure, Cloud or Platform Architecture within a large enterprise.
• Deep knowledge of Azure, AWS and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking, security and resilience across platforms.
• Experience creating target architectures, roadmaps and governance standards.
• Knowledge of AI, Generative AI and AIOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic architecture for the company's infrastructure, cloud and platform estate.
• Define architecture principles, standards and roadmaps; provide governance and leadership across major programmes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and develop strategies for AI, automation and intelligent infrastructure.
