Job summary

Whitbread plc in London is seeking a visionary Principal Architect - Infrastructure, Cloud & AI to define and lead the architecture strategy for cloud, infrastructure and AI-enabled services. You will shape enterprise-wide technology roadmaps and govern platforms for security, resilience and scalability.

You'll influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across architecture, engineering and security teams to enable AI, automation and intelligent infrastructure at scale.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in infrastructure, cloud or platform architecture within a large enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud and modern infrastructure services.
• Experience shaping architecture roadmaps and governance for major programmes.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic architecture for the company's infrastructure, cloud and platform estate.
• Define architecture principles, design standards and technology roadmaps.
• Provide governance and technical leadership across major programmes and investments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and develop practical AI/adoption strategies.
