About the Role

Archaeology Warwickshire require an experienced report writer and editor.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic archaeologist to join us in delivering an exciting range of commercial projects. We are specifically looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of writing archaeological reports, who can use site data to construct a narrative account of the development of a wide range of site types and dates and who can produce interesting and stimulating reports for publication. We will expect you to have an eye for detail, incisive logic and impeccable grammar. We will also expect you to support less-experienced staff and contribute to the continued success of the team.

This is a full time and permanent position with exceptional benefits in a long established CIfA Registered Organisation with outstanding job security within a thriving local authority.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in writing and publishing archaeological reports to a high standard;
  • Considerable experience in a broad range of British archaeology;
  • Demonstrable understanding of UK commercial archaeology;
  • A degree or post-graduate qualification in archaeology or a related discipline;
  • Membership (MCIfA) of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists or proactive commitment to join.
