Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to lead in the A&D vertical, mapping customer processes, solving real-world problems, deploying Ansys software, and growing the business. As the industry ACE leader, you will collaborate with various teams to support verticalization strategies, capture regional priorities, and influence the technology roadmap. You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, leveraging leadership skills to deliver impact.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support verticalization Go-to-Market strategies with Marketing and Sales Operations
  • Map Ansys capabilities to industry initiatives with TAMs, CTO, and ACE SMEs
  • Identify, scope, and create best practices for vertical applications
  • Build a global SME network to develop content aligning with Ansys narratives
  • Gather feedback, analyze gaps, and communicate technology roadmaps and feature priorities
  • Promote market adoption through sales enablement and technical content
  • Manage sales opportunities from discovery to deployment to expand in new and existing accounts
  • Partner with Regional Sales Directors for opportunity review, forecasting, and pipeline development
  • Collaborate with product teams to translate customer needs into new features and guide product roadmaps
  • Lead testing of new releases on industrial problems
  • Promote a One Ansys culture

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related
  • BS+12/ MS+10/ PhD+7 years in engineering software environment
  • BS+10/ MS+8/ PhD+5 years with A&D community
  • Experience with Ansys or similar CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software
  • Subject matter expert in relevant disciplines
  • Understanding of engineering practices and simulation deployment
  • Proven track record in customer outcomes and revenue impact
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects across geographies
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • BS+16/ MS+14/ PhD+11 years in engineering software
  • BS+12/ MS+10/ PhD+8 years with A&D community
  • 6+ years in application engineering, customer support, or consulting
  • Ability to engage with senior managers and C-level executives
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience managing complex projects across regions
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
