Job summary

European Tech Recruit is assisting a client in London/Cambridge to hire a Principal Researcher for AI/LLMs and deep learning focused on semiconductor design and related fundamental research.

The role is permanent and 100% onsite in London or Cambridge. You will drive strategy, oversee multiple high‑impact projects, mentor senior researchers, and publish in top venues. PhD or equivalent with strong Python/C++ is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in ML/AI/CS/Physics or related field, or equivalent research experience.
• A distinguished publication record at top conferences and journals (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL).
• Demonstrated ability to shape research strategy and oversee multiple projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, C++ or similar languages.
• Exceptional leadership, mentorship and communication skills.
• Experience representing research teams in external partnerships or policy forums.
