Job summary

ICIS is building the AI capability that will define how chemical markets get intelligence, and this role owns the platform foundations that make it possible. You will define the AI-ready data strategy, semantics layer, and MCP-first distribution that powers internal product teams and AI-native customer experiences.

This is an influential individual contributor role where you will shape platform standards, drive adoption, and help ICIS deliver trusted market intelligence through AI.

Qualifications

• Track record shipping platform capabilities (APIs, data products, semantic layers) that others build on.
• Experience owning platform strategy, roadmap, and delivery in data/AI/product environments.
• Technical credibility to contribute to architecture discussions (RAG, agents, MCP, data platforms).
• Hands-on experience with AI tooling through prototypes, integrations, agents or tools.
• Experience influencing decisions in a matrix organization with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform mission and roadmap for AI-ready data and MCP-first distribution.
• Define standards, data contracts, schemas, versioning, deprecation and quality measures.
• Evaluate customer signals to create platform primitives and retire others.
• Drive adoption of platform primitives across internal product teams; measure impact.
• Shape AI-native distribution strategy including protocols and integrations.
• Lead the platform squad with direction but no direct reports; align operating model.
